As far as the temp goes, there is nothing wrong with the Pantera system once you get into the L models. Every problem is for the pre-L cars.

This is apparently a pre-L. It's was built March 1972.

The idea of the temp gauge is to put you in the right ball park. 165 might actually be 170 or so but the point is that the car is operating correctly.

It was WAY off. Installed a sender at the t-stat and did the 10 ohm resistor.
