The cap has a threaded flange I turned to 1.5”. Then the flange into the gas tank I made with a 2 1/8”hole vs. the 2.5” from the original…. It just gives me more wiggle room for the 2” stainless steel elbow to tig weld and to get the angle and the clearance for the 3 o’clock bolt!
