Any spilt fuel will almost certainly run straight down the fender face into LH gunnel of the rear bonnet , and drop straight onto your hot exhaust pipe , which is perfectly aligned below , creating much excitement.

yes!!! So true!!! I couldn’t believe when I saw the original setup for the first time!

there was NO WAY i would have kept that filler setup!

I had engine oil!!!! ignited on the header on my E21 Alpina… (minor loss of eyebrows) 😳
