Hi,
It will help prevent overheating of the carb (which can cause poor running).

Worth having a spacer if you haven't already got one.

Make sure you have enough room for it and make sure it comes with new longer carb bolts.

I use a 3mm Edelbrock spacer (which has two oblong holes) so I can keep the air cleaner below the engine cover.
