If it's a wash cost wise, I'd go with the locally fabricated unit because;
1. Fans should be mounted at least 3/4 of an inch from the radiator or their cfm will be reduced. I had to mount my flexalite shroud with standoffs to achieve that.
2. Spal and Flexalite fans are available in individual higher cfm outputs than the flexalite shrouded unit offers at 2500 cfm.
3. If you find the shroud restrictive at high speed it's easy to remove some metal or drill aditional holes.
