fan direction ?

Which way does the driver's side fan spin ? I sent mine out for rebuild, the rebuilder says marking on the fan case is opposite the result (!), which direction is correct ? (suppose that I could see the fan from the driver's seat, is the direction clockwise or counter-CW? Thanks ! Lee
