There is no thermostat as supplied by the factory. DeTomaso removed the oem water neck and installed their own fabricated one that made a sharp turn.
If as you say, one was installed you will access it after removing the seats (easy) and then the shifter and center console (still pretty easy), and then removing the hidden portal to the netherworld.
