Flipping Cars?

I have 2 cars at the moment, a 1989 Land cruiser and a 1976 BMW 2002 which i am in the process of putting a 92' m3 engine in (the s14) I bought the MW for $65 :-P and have spent ablut $4500 on parts, I can now turn around and sell this car for 13-17k (Very rare and desireable engine swap)

So my questions to you all is :
I can not come up with the extra money to buy my dream car (pantera) at my curent job but with my car project I have found a nice way to make some money, This is Very hard work on this swap though.

Do you have any tips on Flipping cars? Models things to do to get more money out of them ect.
I was thinking like corvetts, getting them a tune up and detailed than turn and sell it than? I am not sure, Thanks for the help

oh I am in California if that makes a difference in the automotive market
