My '73 car is "Mars Red" (or so I'm told), but it's an orangish color (looks like tomato soup) that shows up different in natural or artificial light. I was told that some later cars were painted in some unusual colors as 'test market' colors. Only certain colors were available in certain areas of the country. I've no way of knowing if this is all true or not, but that's the story I got.
