don't let it bother you my friend. i drove by a kmart parking lot one time where they were having a big corvette get together and decided to pull in for a look. as soon as i did people were tripping over themselves including most of the corvette owners to get a look at my 72 pre L and it was in need of extensive work. that day told me all i ever needed to know. hope that made you feel better........
