Freeze 12 is NOT R-12. It is a blend of components that may very well function for years, but in doing so you have contaminated your system. Most shops will decline to service a contaminated system as they have no safe way of evacuating that system without damaging their equipment.

R-12 can no longer be manufactured in the United States but it is legal to use and is readily available for sale on eBay and craigslist.

Your car, your choice.
