Hi Mike,

I found this link to an article on a Jag site that may be of help: http://etype.chrisvine.com/201...ake-caliper-rebuild/

The article recommends 40 ft/lbs for 3/8" (.375")bolts. Since 10mm = .394", the 40 ft/lbs is pretty close. I have my front calipers on my 74 broken apart also. I noticed evidence of lock-tite (blue) on the threads when I removed the bolts. This explained why it to me, a long breaker bar, and a small elephant to get the bolts loose. Not sure if this is from the factory, or someone rebuilt the calipers already and applied the lock-tite. Actually, the lock-tite may not be a bad idea, if you want to ensure the bolts do not work loose. Hope this helps.

Take care!
Pete C.
