Yep, your right about the honing and the piston slide. In most cases it's not necessary but I had to work on getting the pistons out. Could not get good leverage with out splitting the calipers. Once I was able to get them out I wanted to hone just to flatten out any buildup clinging to the pistons. Have not attached a pic to the board, I did an attachment of the caliper hope the pic shows up.
