front engine seal - replacement

The front engine seal on my engine is leaking. I can't recall what has to come off in order to get to it. I know the pulley and harmonic balancer must come off. I havent gone through the hassle of removing the front engine access cover to take a look yet.. I'll probably start that tonight. Can anyone tell me what other major things must be removed in order to get to it. Thanks!! This really is a pain because the engine is a rebuild with about 2000 miles on it. I've been told to check out the balancer for any imperfections that could have caused this. Anyone else have any pointers?
