fuel overflow

my holley 600 spews out fuel out of overflow when i try to start it cold or hot. seems to be after pumping it repeatedly. it is hard to start when hot. was leaking fuel out of secondary but adj float bowl ,ok now. it spews fuel up to the roof overhang as well as fuel vapour. basically stock motor ,msd ignition, stock mech fuel pump, thanks for any info
