We have these jackshaft type openers on our shop and we have had ZERO problems with them, and we use them a LOT. No idea on cost, but I can say that if it is a concern about having something taking up room in the center of the space, these things do work well. They are mounted on the vertical wall right next to the torsion shaft -- WORK GREAT!
