Joules I am now on a different tack,

I have ordered a new pair of struts from SGS Engineering and have asked them to be set at 400N

They are 22mm dia with a 10mm rod and the rod end is easily removable for me to make a top spacer when I sit the new strut inside my old body.

Well thats the plan, fingers crossed, and thanks for your help too regards Peter.
