Amen, JD- I can't tell you the number of times I speed-shifted from 1st to 2rd and the long shift shaft twisted so the stick went into the 2nd gate while the gearbox went into 4th. And the twised shaft wouldn't come back out unless you then smacked the shift-stick hard with the palm of your hand. Needless to say, this did not improve my cornering speeds- just my entertainment value to onlookers. Whats worse, my slower shifting wife used to beat me this way....
