Thanks, really interesting--esp to have such an early reference with '596. I have some extra hatch glass, a couple pieces from the ~75th car dated 8K (Visterm, October 1968) and a 3rd dated 8L (November 1968).

So it looks like 1969 was the roaring year--guessing that 8MA1046 was the end of 1969, and 8ma596 no earlier than the end of 1968. Has anybody seen a reference to production rate? I'm guessing ~20 a month? Probably centered between Q3 1968 and Q3 1970...Lee
