Um, factory GT5 cars were never all steel, they had fiberglass flares.

I am halfway through a GR4 conversion with fiberglass flares (and have been for about 3 year now, but that's another story). I'll grab some photos with the flares pinned on, removed and I think I still have the bits I cut out.
