Reply to "Gray 2K Primer??"

Will,

By ratio cup, I meant a plastic cup with all the common ratios printed on it. Your paint supplier should of set you up with some. Then you would have the correct ratio of primer/activator/reducer. You are working with a 2K high build product. You should be using a gravity fed gun with @ 2.0 tip. Turn your fan spray knob down from full width. Full on with the trigger. Test your spray on some cardboard or masking paper. If what you have already applied is really rough, STOP. Sand it off. It can actually have air pockets in it that can cause you grief later on. If you are just priming spots, your second coat shouldnt run out to the edge of the first coat, and your third coat should be back from the edge of the second coat. That way you dont have rough/dry areas. Also, 2K builds up so if you stop each coat at the same place you are creating a hump/wave. Are you using etch primer on the bare metal ? You should.
