Andy I'm sorry if my comment rubs you the wrong way. In this situation, the Pantera in question (#7295) is advertised as a unique Pantera, which it is. It IS potentially a collector quality car. Check out the link in PeteB's first post. The seller (Hymann Ltd) is asking $125,000 for this car, about $55,000 above market price for a standard Pantera in showroom condition. The price is based on this particular Pantera's uniqueness. If it has been personalized its historical uniqueness is marred.

Like I wrote previously, I'll research this at no charge if PeteB is a serious buyer rather than a tire kicker, because helping De Tomaso enthusiasts is one of the things Debbie and I have dedicated ourselves to doing in this phase of our senior lives.

i fully agree, a sunroof isn't as a just bolt-on aftermarket airfilter....it changes the look of the car ( or even stiffness) and would be a significant cost to redo it...i have a friend who bought a BMW M3 to track with sunroof and wanted to remove it for weight and stiffness purpose...so they cut and replaced a complete roof up from the pillars. Can image it would be a bit more difficult ( expensive) to find a Pantera donor car.....
