My feeling is who wants to race a real vintage car thats a HIGH dollar car and due to the increase in cost of the cars the field of cars was deminishing ..so not it has to be a period correct car conforming to FIA SVRA and SCCA rules ...seems to me a real difficult task.

I could be wrong about the history ..because my engine builder stated the same as you but he raced the early 70's .. but I dont read it anywhere ... and REPLICA are allowed .. so my Panter gr3 or 4 would fit in as a replica ??

My AC COBRA .. its a MKIV Automcraft Cobra which was made in the AC factory in Brooklands England will never touch the track with 9k miles on it.... LOL

Symantics I think. I suppose that you have to pay for the log book then. Who has a 1970 log book for sale and how much? $500,000?

I wanted to build a Mustang race car and was told that it could not be raced under the current rules, period correct or not.

Therefore, i.e., I interpret that to mean go buy a real car with history to race.

I'll ask Kopec. He'll know.
