Reply to "Group IV Front Spoiler"

Problem is the spoiler is hangin' way out at the nose of the car, sure it scrapes on stuff. I have Kirk Evans little mini-spoiler on #6018, it scrapes too. Its got a few cracks in it, so don't look too close. Most spoilers on street driven Panteras have dings & cracks in them. The first one makes you all bothered, but after you've popped its cherry its no big deal any longer. You learn to slow down at driveways and those big dips.

Actually, I've come to the conclusion that the Pantera looks best without a spoiler, and with the front end lowered so its sniffing the ground real close. The '72 LeMans look. No bumpers either. Like Laslo's car.

But if you're racing you'll want a good GT5 style spoiler to keep the air from getting beneath the front of the car & lifting it.

Larry Stock sells spoilers, are his plastic or fiberglass? Plastic would survive road rash a lot better than fiberglass. You might want to give Larry a call & find out.

I've bugged a few of the vendors about making spoilers from the same plastic as the fenders found on off road motorcycles. The stuff is indestructible, and paintable too.
