Reply to "GRP 4 TAIL LIGHTS - SALE"

Aren't the Carello lights thinner/ not as deep as the Altissimo?

While both makes have the same footprint and appear, to most, the same, there are differences.

Carello was what De Tomaso used. The lights were initially used on an earlier Alfa. Somewhere along the line, Altissimo started making them. I have received NOS Carello and Altissimo in Alfa packaging.

Housings are a tad bit different in dimensional layout of the reflector concave domes. But footprint is the same for both, and that footprint matches the stock Ford tail lights.

The Carello lens is not as deep (tall) as the Altissimo. The Carello lens treats the lens area at the clear back-up light portion with horizontal lines in stead of the faceted treatment found in the amber and red areas. The Carello lens is smoothly rounded on the face, while the Altissimo has a distinct ridge running across the horizontal center.

The lenses will somewhat interchange onto the other's housings, but with some issues. You can work around them, but I only sell matched sets.
