In fact, the Altissimo housings were factory painted with a low-reflective gray paint vs. the chromed Carello units. I have seen ONE chromed Altissimo unit, however.

The 'chrome' paint I use is far better than the OEM Altissimo painted units.

I too prefer the total faceted look of the Altissimo lenses, and those are what I have installed on 2511.

But to each their own, and I have both styles available.
