I just got them off the shelf at my local auto parts place. They were designed as replacements for the standard 12v 21w/5w stop & tail lamps fitted to 80% of british cars in 70s.
I don't remember the make.
There were similar to the ones PanteraDoug has found for you.

(Don't forget I'm the other side of the atlantic...)
