DeTom, you would be better off with a nice 110 mig welder, rather than a oxy-accetaline set up. They aren't that costly. We have a resistance welder at work. Heck we have tig, mig and all that. It is just I would get fired if I took it home or brought my car into the model shop.
I know you can get an arc welder cheap. but sheet metal needs fineese sometimes.
