H4 Bulbs

Looking to make a simple update to my headlights by updating to H4 bulbs.
Not sure if a Philips 9003 H4 would be correct?
I believe it is a 55 watt version.
It shows the base to be a P43T type.
Could I sub that directly for my current headlight bulbs?
