I did, but heard most people call them spacers, then now I hear the term isolator. I'm now realizing these are the same things. I'm thinking maybe just forgetting the whole thing.


They are not really the same thing, yes the OEM shocks have an aluminum 'spacer' to increase ride height to meet DOT requirements. The isolator is the rubber boot part that the spring seats on to stop it rattling around, there is a ring for the bottom and a larger boot that covers the piston arm for the top.
