Interesting information about the CD player prone to failure. I know of one Jersey Panteras member that has one, but I'm not sure if he uses it that much, and his is still working. My car had the dealer installed vertical scale AM/FM and I had to remove the console to get it out although that wasn't the only reason I removed the consle.

Now that it's out, I would rather have at least a cassette unit to put back in, but that would have to be a used unit and may not be reliable either. The Hall CD looked like a really trick alternative. Another option would be a secret audio unit and use one of the repro radio delete plates to cover the radio hole.
