My car has one of those Kenwood systems that after two years in my ownership has a problem that I am told is due to that cable failing. There is a place here semi locally will take care of it of around $80.

It is a cool feature to have , but it's IMO only for looks. I was never happy with the quality of the sound system due to the BIG Block right behind me.

Just a thought.
