My Craftsman mechanics gloves are good for heavy work and do save on cuts and bruises. I do use latex gloves for fluid changes etc. They do a decent job except for there propensity to tear if you try and hand fit bolts etc. There are just some jobs that you need the feel of your bare hand. The Fast Orange does a decent job except as mentioned on paint. Mineral Spirits works on the paint, just takes all the moisture out of your skin.

We do not have OSH here in Atlanta, but maybe Ace carries it.
