To my knowlege, no 'shootout' of headers has been done. Many people speak highly of the "Mindtrain" version of 4-into-1 headers. FYI, one owner found that a set of 180 headers lost him 500 rpms at the top end of 5th, probably due to the very long tubes creating excess gas friction or maybe a resonance effect. This was during a Silver State event- he ran no mufflers at all so it wasn't backpressure.
