The very early cars has a system that deal with the bucket shake.
The buckets has extensions with a rubber Mount welded to the back side. They can be seen in the first two Pictures.
When the buckets open they move against a stop-bracket that is bolted to the inner front structure. The hole and 2 small studs that it attaches to can be seen in the Picture of the front structure (right Next the the radiator Mount).
This system is only on the very early cars, no idea when they phased it out, but is was there untill 1267.
