Help in Montreal

I have accepted a long term assignment in Montreal QC, and the cat will have to stay at home in Washington State. A friend will start the cat once in a while (no driving, yeh right). My problem is that I have a Chocolate lab/cocker mix that my wife and I will not part with. I need to find a place that accepts a dog. The apt that my company puts Expats up in does not acceept dogs. I have talked to a dog trainer in Vaudreuil that will help me and board the dog if need be, and he said that there are "dog hotels" near him that are pretty good. My question is do any of you in Montreal know of any apartments near Montreal that accept dogs?

It's going to be real tough to not see the cat sitting in the garage every day.
