Reply to "High Dollar Pantera market heats up..."

Greetings
I purchased my '74 about 15 months ago; a pretty decent car and probably paid a bit too much at the time but you know how it goes, I wanted the car. At the time,I was also looking at Ferrari Dinos but they were already way outside my budget. As a newbie to European exotics, I could not grasp the huge price disparity between Dinos and Panteras...still can't but now the disparity is even greater. Granted, I am now another biased Pantera owner, but I think Panteras are still today a relative bargain. When I look at what has happened to air cooled Porsches, e type Jags and even Sunbeam Tiger pricing, I am surprised Panteras aren't priced even higher.
As an aside, some years back, when Pontiac GTOs went thru a period of price escalation, more of the rougher cars became restoration candidates which opened the door for suppliers to produce an array of reproduction parts that previously were not cost justified. Wonder if the same could happen with the Pantera?
