It all depends. If you installed the lifter bore bushings / constrictors then a standard pump is more than adequate. Keep in mind that a high volume pump is difficult to turn and some owners have had problems with twisting pump drive shafts.

I run a standard pump with the oiling modifications. Works excellent hot or cold.
