I would not adjust it with the car running because of the fuel that leaks out as you make the adjustment. Make an adjustment, clean up the fuel, start the engine, then run it for a few min to burn down some of the fuel and watch the fuel level. If is needs more shut it off and readjust again and then go through the run cycle again.
