Thanks for the images gents, I really need to get serious about finding a suitable piece of that material, hopefully somewhat below the price of a typical king's ransom.

While not a good option for my car, photos of early cars (< ~ 8MA900?) show a different material that has diamond pattern stitching, vice embossing, PLUS the stitching has a crazy zig-zag pattern to it (see detail photo). Wondering if this version may still be available - - may be a good option on early cars if the price is right! Regards, Nate
