Reply to "Hooking up the electric choke."

As a matter of interest for my echoke I tapped of the Pink wire before the ballast resister for full 12volts. So essentially the + side of the coil without the resistance. I understand ideally you do not want to pull anymore through the ignition switch than needed but what other problems could this create.
