My existing aluminum shield does a pretty good job of deflecting the heat from my headers. Additional insulation between the sheet metal and hood would be better but I’d really like to do is toss the aluminum shield and replace it with a stick on aluminized blanket or some other material that will do the job. I had to “adjust” two spots on the shield to make room for the snakes. The result was functional but looks like $#!+. I’ve also considered wrapping my headers but I don’t really have any experience with wrap either. Just thought I’d take a shot at throwing my dilemma out there and see what bounced back.
