...the spring at the clutch slave cylinder is there to insure the slave 'Fully' returns to the 'Disengaged' position. If it does Not; then you risk the 'Throw-out-bearing' contiuously 'Riding' on the clutch fingers/diaphram, which in a short time will burn up the T.O.B. ...
