Reply to "How do I choose a new Clutch..."

The Pantera clutch was in fact, special to the car. It is an 11" Long-type clutch with no centrifugal bob-weights on the 3 levers and a custom thinned disc. Other combinations of 'stock Ford' clutch will surely cause damage or allow the assembly to drag, causing transmission wear. If you're knowlegable & there's a major city near you, there may be a shop that rebuilds clutches so you can get your OEM unit freshened up. Or, I suggest contacting your favorite Pantera parts vendor for stuff that will fit and not damage the car. A 10-1/2" Centerforce clutch from a late Mustang will work well & be lighter on your foot than stock, but your stock flywheel will need to be re-drilled, or replaced as the size & bolt thtreads are both different in the Centerforce..
