Early 928s are a nightmare of worn sensors for literally everything on the car, so you need to be an electronics genius to keep them running. A friend got one with a blown engine and with some heavy shop work, added 350 Chevy pistons, turning it into a 5+ liter with 400 bhp. Probably wasn't worth the effort though. Another put a 928 engine in his 911 as a mid-engine; I KNOW that wasn't worth the trouble he went through!
