Reply to "Hub-Centric vs Lug-Centric"

I had 1 wheel bore that was 0.002” larger than the other 3. I machined the rings one at a time and fit them to the wheel. I did not have a good way to measure how deep the  45° chamfer was so I left that end long and put the ring in the wheel. Then I measured the distance from the surface of the ring to to surface of the wheel. I removed the ring, I had a puller setup in the wheel for this, and then machined off the amount I measured + .001”. The rings were made .001” larger than the wheel bore. Put the rings in the freezer and the wheels in the sun. The rings drop in and then expand. You need a puller to remove them.
