Reply to "Hydraulic Throwout bearings, what do you know??"

If the throwout asembly is not set up with free-running clearace per the mfgr, the piston assembly will bottom when the engine/transaxle heats up. This causes the annular piston to spin which quickly destroys the quad-ring seal. A quad-ring seals both sides of a bore. The inner diameter of the assembly is where the ZF input shaft passes through. Quad-rings will NOT seal rotary motion, so if the piston spins, the ring rapidly wears, then fails. There is an AN-fitting screwed into the stock hard line under the engine so the flex line can be unscrewedthere.
