On my Sunday drive ritual in my 71, I go to the swap meet here in San Diego. The first thing I see is a brand new Lotus with 400 miles on it. The owner said he loved it and the reason he bought it was that Jay Lino did a segment on his show about it. In that show Jay said it is the most fun to drive out of all of his cars. This guy paid 100K for it. It is a cool car but I like old cars that I can work on and drive without worrying about it. It seems like all these new wickedly fast super cars like Demons, Vettes and European exotics are big money looser. Top of the line 150K + BMW and Mercedes two or three years later can be had for a fraction of the cost. There is nothing like the smell of a new car but, That fades quickly.
