Ignition Ballast Resistor???

IGNITION RESISTOR
I am inquiring about the ceramic resistor in the ignition system and am wondering if Mangustas have one in the engine compartment and if so where is it?

I know a number of cars have had fire problems and if the resistor is one of the fire dangers along with the headers and fuel line.

I have one, it is just rear of the carburetor and am changing to a coil with the included resistor. Every time I drive my car after thinking about it I worry about that little red hot glowing wire back there close to the carburetor.
