I tought it would have been the ultimate "Pantera", same profile AND targa .... no way.

Many have made similarly inverse comments about the Pantera. (Crude, ponderous, what brakes?) Good thing we have many performance cars to choose from!

I agree that the torque is hard to find below about 4 grand, but the upper rev howl and 'on the button' feel of that car singing up high, superbly balanced, and one wrist tightening away from a lane change is mighty fun. Just a different driving experience all around.

Driving the Pantera brings out a whole different type of attitude for me and I love it too. Unreal low end grunt, an incredible gearbox (we are so fortunate to have one of the best gearboxes ever made in these cars!) and of course the Ford V8 telling the world this is no high-strung delicate machine.

I've had mine 10 years now. It may be time for me to move on with it too as we simplify our lives. If I do, I'll start another thread. Tough call, as I'v kept it through a dozen or so other toys over the years.
